FAQ's

HELLO PARENTS!
You’ve got Questions? We’ve got Answers!

We are looking forward to a summer full of indoor activities and outdoor FUN and we are glad that your child will be joining us! It has been proven that time spent in nature helps kids develop their creativity, problem solving skills and helps them do better academically! Every child needs nature.
Thank you for choosing MMM summer camp.
What is the MMM camp’s philosophy?

We want all campers to spend time doing what they love, discovering new interests, making joyful memories and building lasting friendships. Our goal for everyone at camp is to go home at the end of the day so energized by the fun they had and the people they shared it with, that they can’t wait to come back the next day

Do Campers choose their activities?
Yes. Each camper chooses their activities the day before for the next.
Can we sign up for just 1 week?
Yes. Pick whichever week you want. There is no full-summer commitment (though we’d love to see you all summer). Children who stay multiple weeks will have greater Mandarin results.
What should I do if my child will be absent?
Please contact us as early as possible. We encourage you to not send your child that day if he is not feeling well. Please take your child’s temperature every day. We will send back home any kids with flu symptoms and a temperature above 37.7C
Will I get additional information before the Camp starts?
Yes. You will receive a Parent Handbook that includes information on what your child should bring to camp, as well as pick-up and drop-off policy.
Is lunch provided at camp?
You have the option of either packing a healthy lunch in an insulated lunch box with a few ice packs. Or ordering from our kid friendly menu the day before. We work with restaurants.
Does the discount work if I sign up for weeks that are non-consecutive?
Yes! Sign up for the weeks you want. Your discount will apply.
Where is MMM Summer Camp Located??
Camp MMM is located in Wong Chuk Hang, Aberdeen on the Southside. We are just a few minutes from the Aberdeen Tunnel.
What do you do on a rainy Day?
The MMM Base Campus allows us access to a 10,000 sq ft open space, not including 2 covered outdoor spaces, a movie room, and many workshop spaces. Safety is our priority, and heavy rain can be dangerous outdoors.
What to wear for camp?
Campers can wear what they like for the Base Camp activities. We strongly recommend hiking shoes or a good pair of sneakers for the Nature field trips. A list will be provided. For the beach field trips, it is mandatory to wear protective sun gear (rashguard).
Is sunscreen reapplied?
We encourage (+++) you to put sunscreen on your child before drop-off, even if it is cloudy or raining. Please send in your preferred sunscreen labeled with your camper’s name. We will re-apply (or remind and assist older campers to reapply) sunscreen throughout the day.
Is MMM a competitive camp?
MMM program is designed to enable every camper to feel successful. Our elective program allows campers with diverse interests to grow and learn new skills throughout the summer.
What is the camper to staff ratio?
On Field Trips, our ratio is 4:1 At Base Camp, our ratio is 5:1
What will happen if my child gets sick or injured?
Parents are always called when a child is not well. In addition, our campers are checked on arrival and periodically throughout camp by our staff to ensure that hygiene is maintained. Covid-19 safety guidelines will be in force.
Is it easy to drop off kids?
You can stop and park on Yip Kan Street and enter by the back entrance
What about phones?
No phones aloud from 9am to 5pm. If you want your child to have his phone it will be kept at our reception till departure.
What is the minimum age?
Children must be 6 years old by 31st of December 2020
My child is not interested in sports. What is the camp’s culture like?
While we encourage exercise, Camp MMM emphasizes teamwork and having fun over competition. Some campers love to challenge themselves physically; others prefer quieter, gentler forms of recreation. All of these needs are accommodated.
How do you handle sea safety for kids?
We organize safe activities to enjoy the sea. We have a mandatory Life Jacket policy when on the beach (near or in the water).
What if my child has special needs?
We encourage parents to communicate with the camp staff to let us know of any special needs their child may have.
Can I get a refund if the community health situation changes (covid-19 related) ?
Absolutely! For commenced weeks, a pro rata refund will be offered. For non-commenced weeks, because we don’t ask for registration fees upfront, we will reimburse 100% - a 1000HKD.
