As a consequence, we now ask all students or staff to immediately contact us if you:
-Live in the same home as a family member subject to quarantine

SAFETY PROTOCOLS
1: You MUST complete an online Health Declaration prior to your child commencing a camp week with us
This should be completed when you receive the confirmation booking and all forms need to be sent back
2: General Preventative Measures
Perform hand hygiene properly, especially before touching your eyes, nose or mouth; before eating; after using the toilet; and after touching public installations or equipment such as handrails or door knobs; or when hands are contaminated by respiratory secretion after coughing or sneezing
Wash hands with liquid soap and water properly whenever possibly contaminated
When hands are not visibly soiled, clean hands by rubbing them with 70-80% alcohol-based hand-rub as an effective alternative
Cover mouth and nose with tissue paper when sneezing or coughing. Dispose soiled tissue paper properly into a lidded rubbish bin and wash hands with liquid soap and water afterwards
Campers are always required to wear a mask during indoors activity.
Parents/Guardians should also ensure that students have a spare mask, as a back-up
No spectators will be allowed
Do not use drinking fountains
Please bring your own water bottle and do not share this with others. Please put your name on it.
3: Body Temperature Checking
A station will be established at each activity area for temperature checks and hand rubbing procedures
All staff, campers and coaches temperature checks will be undertaken prior to the start of each session
A record of each person’s temperature will be taken and recorded, and must be confirmed
Staff, Campers or coaches with a temperature of 37.5degrees C will be asked to leave the school premises
4: Water/Toilet Breaks
If a student leaves the workshop for a water or toilet break, they MUST use the hand sanitizers prior to rejoining the activity
5: Exclusion from Activity
Please note that the Lead Coach will ultimately make any decision for excluding a student from an activity due to Health & Safety reasons
Lunch/Snacks: Hand hygiene will be enforced, including washing hands thoroughly before and after snack/lunch. At
break time or lunchtime (for full day campers) campers must not share their snacks / drinks with others.
If a camper becomes unwell during the day, the parent / caregiver will be asked to collect their child immediately. The
child will be supervised away from other campers. The premises will be frequently cleaned and disinfected to ensure
the cleanliness and hygiene of the Base camp. Campers are reminded to bring their own water bottles. Liquid soap
and disposable paper towels will be provided at handwashing facilities While sharing of resources between campers
will be minimised, toys, books and teaching aids will be regularly disinfected and replaced. The coach in Charge will
advise parents of pick up procedures, to prevent crowd gatherings.
Other If anyone on site is suspected of having COVID-19 or is diagnosed with COVID-19, all procedures set by the
Centre for Health Protection will be strictly adhered to.
COVID DISCLAIMER – An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people
are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious virus that can lead to severe illness and death, by
coming to Michigan Christian Youth Camp, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to
COVID-19
